Looking for a fun way to explore SW with your dog? Register to attend the Southwest DC Community Center’s 2nd Annual Mutt Strutt and Pups in the Park Celebration! We will walk a two-mile “strut” around the neighborhood, ending in Lansburgh Park for a party!

Among the planned activities:

• Pet Caricature Portraits

• Face Painting for the Kids

• Tiger, MPD’s Canine Pup

• Raffle Prizes

• Pet-Friendly Vendors

• Live Music by Mario!

The Mutt Strutt route is a two-mile loop around the Southwest neighborhood which starts and finishes at Lansburgh Park. See route map to the left. The first water stop is near Fort McNair at 4th and P streets SW. The second water stop is in front of Arena Stage at 6th and M streets SW. The third and final water station is in front of the Southwest Library at I Street and Wesley Place SW.

Schedule of Events:

• 11:00AM: Check-in

• 11:15AM: Blessing of the Animals

• 11:30AM: Mutt Strutt Begins

• 12:30PM - 3:00PM: Pups in the Park Celebration

• 1:00PM: Pet Costume Contest

PLEASE NOTE: Each ticket is for one person, but there is no limit on the amount of dogs you can bring. Registration is free for children ages 12 and under! By registering, you affirm that your dog(s) are current on their rabies vaccination and that you must be aware of your surroundings and in control of your dog(s) at all times during the event and are responsible for their actions. Only standard 4ft leashes are to be used at this event; no retractable or extendible leashes will be permitted.
